Alan studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michoacán in Mexico. He learned how to analyze problems, build systems, and figure out how things work from the ground up.
But he didn't stay in engineering. He moved into corporate direct sales — working with Verizon Fios, Spectrum, and DirecTV. Going door to door. Business to business. That work taught him something the classroom didn't: how to listen carefully, explain things in a simple way, and earn someone's trust quickly.
After that, he spent time in manufacturing operations in Orange County — managing logistics, running processes, keeping operations on track.
Then came eight years with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services. That job put him inside the communities of Southeast Los Angeles every day. Norwalk. Lynwood. Downey. Compton. Bell.
